The Skin Hospital has Psoriasis and Biologics clinics at both the Darlinghurst and Westmead Facilities. Resources for patients:. The Skin & Cancer Foundation established the first UV light therapy unit for the treatment of extensive psoriasis, and severe eczema in the 1980’s. Since then, over 20,000 patients have been treated at our clinics at both Darlinghurst and Westmead. If after 30 treatments your Psoriasis or Eczema has not responded satisfactorily, this course of treatment will be stopped and your doctor will reassess your treatment program. There is a facility fee that must be paid at the onset of treatment to cover the first 20 treatments. There have also been a number of changes both in the College office, and also on the College Board of Directors. Heads of Department teleconferences were conducted to oversee trainee progress and facilitate communication between training facilities. A new Vitiligo Clinic has commenced at the Skin and Cancer Foundation, and Rebecca Dunn has restarted a dermatology service at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service in Fitzroy. In 2014 the Foundation has welcomed and is supporting eight new registrars and four IMGs, who will gain invaluable training across both locations at Darlinghurst and Westmead.
