A few weeks ago I found a lump behind my left ear and im freakin out! It is a slow painful process and it will not go away over night. I have the exact same thing so would love to know what it is iv been to doctors and they said my scaley scalp is psoriasis and that the lymph node behind my ear is swollen cos of the scalp issues they gave me a steroid fluid to clear up the psoriasis but that’s just made my head sore and break out in spots my towels r bleached too but I never really gave it much thought till I read your comment! If I find out wot it is I shall let you know, and vice versa if u find out x. My mom won’t take me to the doctor because only really ever does if i’m dying on my bed or going for a check up. Talk with your doctor if you have a sore or scab that doesn’t heal in about two months, or a flat patch of scaly skin that won’t go away. Hi My 15 month old has a crusty build up behind her ears. We try to gently rub it away whenever she’s in the bath and normally it doesn’t bother her, but recenlty it seems to be causing her some discomfort (keeps scratching at her head). Welcome harry18 and thank you for responding i always just thought it was wax and never mentioned it to the dr but i used to pick and pick and they would bleed and scab –really not anything i wanted to divulge to anyone but since we’re talking about it it’s just so weird that i hardly even produce any wax anymore i will say i really am happy they stopped itching–god that would make me insane. It is smooth and won’t scratch, and the ear wax collects in the loop. But, if I leave it alone as much as possible, it tends to go away (mostly) quickly.
