It became obvious that one could not cure psoriasis topically, treatment would begin in the gut by addressing mal-absorption problems and in particular healthy gut flora. Just wondered if anyone has any tips or lotions they have used I have tried most things and nothing much works. But I do find that the polytar shampoo helps with the patches on my scalp (this can be got on prescription but is cheaper over the counter). This combo works best 4 me, the cream isnt cheap but it works so I dont care (i managed 2 buy a load cheap in a tj hughes sale (shame my local 1 shut)). Also the sunbeds worked wonders for my psoriasis, it’s a bit swings and roundabouts with sunbeds as they are not great for you but my doctor said as long as it’s only once a week and the correct googles are used it would be fine as long as it wasn’t used as a long term solution, just say for a few months in the build up to a wedding etc. Absolute risk just tells you the chance of something happening, while relative risk tells you how that risk compares to another risk, as a ratio.
