I have had Psoriasis for 10 years now and get it badly in my scalp, forehead, behind ear, in my ears and in my groin/genital area. I’ve also had light treatment twice an both times has pretty much got rid of my psoriasis. Find new approaches to hard-to-treat psoriasis that just won’t go away. But it’s been interesting that in the 1980s and 90s, we noticed that drugs that decreased the activity of the immune system were spectacularly effective in treating psoriasis, and we understand now that psoriasis is a disorder mainly of the immune system and not of the skin, at least not as much as we thought that it used to be. Psoriasis on the hands and feet also can be very difficult to treat. The classical classification is going to be if you have got more than 10 percent of your body surface area covered with psoriasis, that is severe. My feet are by far the worst bit now and now it’s just formed into one huge scab which I end up rubbing/itching once a day or sometimes twice. It’s pretty much always just raw skin constant pus & blood – I need to wrap and dress it twice daily sometimes 3. My legs. Light treatment helped my friend, ask to be sent for UV light therapy. I’ve only had psoriasis for 3 years but I have also tried lots of things to relieve it but no joy!

I am really making sure to stay on top of my aftercare this time, as Riscott mentioned, moisturising at least twice a day. I then got rid of dairy products and my psoriasis got better but never disappeared. I have been desperately searching for a cure for this my whole 20’s pretty much. I’ve had drs tell me for YEARS that diet has nothing to do with psoriasis, but IT DOES! or it did for me anyway & I feel like spreading the word! xx. He offered me light treatment or drug therapy, I chose the light treatment as I was concerned about the side affects of the drugs. My problem is guttate psoriasis which I guess flares whenever I get strep throat. I must admit I have only gone to see a dermatologist twice this time.and he has given me a prescription for clobetasol propionate (sp) which seemed to really work great, at first. I have had a small patch of guttate above both ankles for years and years. I’ve also soaked every night in either espom salt or sea salt and the last 3 nights been covering myself in vaseline WHILE still in the bath tub.
Some people have also experienced benefits with light therapy, which uses natural or artificial ultraviolet light to slow skin cell turnover. But when it came back, it came back bigger and harder, i now only use VASELINE COCOA BUTTER cream (comes in a brown bottle with a dark brown top) alongside they do a aloe vera and a oat stray one but both of these actually make my psoriasis alot worse and doesnt really help moisture but i swear by using the cocoa butter i dont know what it is but after using this m skin softens completly in around 2/3 days but still the redness. Try those two steps and hopefully you will get as much luck with getting rid of psoriasis as i did. From the time I’ve made the above changes I haven’t got an attack of pustular variety of psoriasis at all. For the first time in probably 15 years, I have clear skin on my hands! I had large, red scaly patches of psoriasis spread over most of my body, and was in a pretty bad way, physically and psychologically. When I had psoriasis really bad all over my body, people used to always comment to me that they thought it was impressive that I didn’t let my skin bother me in public. Also David, I don’t know what your financial situation is or if you have any time, but if you can, go somewhere with nice beaches where it is sunny and warm. I guess the light therapy is supposed to take place of the sun. I try to take advantage of it when it’s sunny, and I’ve also been buying Dead Sea salts to soak in once or twice a week. Doctors told me I have eczema and what they prescribe is not getting rid of none of the skin conditions. The rash I have is on my hands, I’ve had it before, but it seems to be spreading. Psorexederm Cream at least twice a day and also at any time itching occurs. NOTE: When the skin is extremely dry over much of the leg you should also use David’s Hypoallergenic face and body balm to relieve the dryness and help reverse the thinning and drying of the skin. I’ve also noticed odd things, like if I get a bad cut, rash, sunburn, or abrasion, that area is very likely to be a new psoriasis patch when it heals. One of my friends has a much worse case than I ever had. Light treatments are the closest thing I have to a miracle, and I need to start them again now that I’ve moved back to Canada. I have scalp psoriasis, and would very much like to try what worked for you. Since I’ve had a problem with either psoriasis or eczema, both of which plagued me for nearly 20 yrs. I got rid of my psoriasis 5 years ago at the same time as getting rid of my systemic candida problem and it has never reappeared.

I had plaque psoriasis across my throat, shoulders and it worked up my face before I was cured. I suspect they both have minor causes of scalp psoriasis. They did suggest light-box treatments but those are extremely time-consuming and expensive. For some reason it covered pretty much my entire face which I’ve been told is pretty rare. I’ve found that for us, a thin layer of coconut oil or a coconut oil lotion bar helps cool eczema itching and pain. When I can’t take the time for a bath, magnesium oil also helps. In three uses, the eczema has pretty much completely cleared up. It provides both medical and aesthetic benefits to patients just like you every day. Hair removal laser treatments are scheduled with 3-4 weeks between each session in order to ensure maximum results. Scaly, dry skin from my Psoriasis has been a long time issue. I’ve always been a naturalist and hated that I had to take so much medicine to feel like a normal person.
